Dark Patchouli oils are Iron-distilled. Hard to find high quality iron-distilled Patchouli oils these days, and this is a unique iron distillation from Sri Lanka.

In Chinese Medicine, Patchouli is knowns as Huo Xiang, Enters the Spleen and Stomach, Transforms Damp, Expels Summer Heat and Wind/Cold. It is ideal for Damp Environments prone to mold and mildew.

The aroma is very woody, fresh, and uniquely Sri Lankan.

This Sri Lankan material is infinitely better than more commonly found Chinese or Indonesian Patchouli.

This is the premium stuff. Rich, deep, oh-so-good iron-distilled Patchouli.


The materials that I get are not often found among more commonly accessible aromatherapy suppliers. The quality is in the top 1-3% that is reserved for perfumery use - and the production is often from small artisan operations rather than huge commercial commodity producers. This is a rare treat.
