I don't know what it is about this oil - but I'm frickin' loving it. It's really rich. Potent. Floral.

I've long loved oils from the Haflong area of Assam. They tend to have some really floral notes that I feel like I can sink my teeth into.

This oil is a co-distillation of shavings and broken chips from the Haflong and Haranga Jao region of Southern Assam.

+Shavings from high grade Haflong chips were used to produce this oil, along with shavings from incense chips from Haranga Jao.

++The High Grade Haflong chips were used to produce a SUPERB pure Haflong oil I'll be releasing soon. Keep your eyes open for Haflong Qinam ...

THE SCENT

I reeeeally love this oil. Like, I love it to the point of being a bit reluctant to sell any.

Haflong Haranga Jao (HHJ) starts out with this fuesil, explosive opening. It's piercing, in a very positive manner. I want to dump it all over me. I wouldn't say it's brain piercing ... more like a soul piercing. I don't know how to say it other than ... this oil touches me in an 18 and Older kinda way.

Although this is a traditional distillation - it's very clean. I'd place this as a Mozarella on JK's Fermentation Scale. Very light and clean, and oh-so-smooth.

Yes, there are some Hay and Leather notes throughout, but they are not overpowering. Seamlessly weaving, I'd say, through the other aspects of the oil. It's a charismatic oil that wears like an old pair of jeans, or your favorite pair of leather boots. You can't help but feel good when wearing them.

I get this "Je ne sais quois" floral quality from it. The oil, itself, is a lovely golden-orange color - and I'd say the flowery notes are reminiscent of its striking, visual color.

There is an almost saffron spiciness to it. That's part of its floral tone, I mentioned above. Some Hindi woods have a "Zafran Note" - I'd say that is what I'm smelling. And Zafran really gets my engines revving. But it's more than that. You'll soon see what I mean ...

I love Tea Notes in Ouds, and both the color of the oil, itself - as well as it's potent aroma - reminds me of a stiff cup of orange'y mountainous Assam tea. Very rich and bold. The kind of oil that'll wake you up in the morning with a jolt.

The drydown is like those old animal skin rugs I used to see in my childhood. Furry. Leathery. Cozy. I used to love rolling around and sleeping on those old fur-skin rugs, and HHJ is really stroking those aromatic memories of mine from my youth. We don't really see rugs like those any longer (thankfully) ... but I do think there are DNA memories from our more primal histories, clad in leathers and furs long before the threads of cotton and linen.

Haflong Haranga Jao manages to dig down deep and stoke those aromatic ties wound deep in my genes.

Potent. Rich. Floral. Tea-like and Leathery-Animalic - I think you're going to absolutely love Haflong Haranga Jao.
It's full of Testosterone and Energy - a bold and masculine oil that I think will wear very nicely on men and strong women, alike. A good oil to wear when you want to showcase your inner Diva.

Like I said - I'm a bit reluctant to sell any of this oil. Be sure to grab some while I'm willing to let some go.

Be sure to keep an eye open for Haflong Qinam, coming soon !
