This is a small test batch of Wild Vietnamese Oil that I had produced in July of 2023. I had only produced about 15g in total.

If you're not already familiar with Vietnamese woods and oils - producing anything Wild from Vietnam is quite challenging and expensive. It is VERY hard to get material - especially from the Nha Trang area - at any kind of reasonable price. But - it's also considered some of the very best woods in the Agarwood producing world, and is home to some of the best Kynam/Kyara out there.

I've had a few old players try this, and they've all told me it's one of the best representations of the region they've ever tried - and I get the feeling they've tried all of the best oils available from the area from the 21st century. So ... take that with a grain of salt.

I don't know what to say other than it's exquisite, and the feedback I've gotten on it so far is that it is every bit as good, if not better, than "the best" Nha Trang oils out there.

No fermentation or barnyard notes.

THE SCENT

Medicinal/Herbal, Sweet, Indolic even? With some red fruit tones and some florals. It’s just a really solid oud and something everyone should have. It doesn’t deliver a big kinamic punch at the cost of ending up linear and simple. That's a good thing, btw - linear oils are no fun.

Rather, PNT performs for hours and changes and morphs throughout the day. PNT is a dance ! The drydown is creamy, chocolatey even… musky? It's a Crassna/Sinensis mix - but this isn’t anything like a Crassna from Thailand or Cambodia. This likely isn't like anything you've seen from anywhere, before.

Does NOT smell anything like the 2019 Vietnam in the shop, either.

This is an entirely different beast, altogether. It's Medicinal. It's Floral. It's Sweet and Indolic and Oudy. PNT hits so many sweet spots that I think it'll take a couple of wears for your brain to work out exactly what you're smelling.
