**I offered this particular oil at about half the price it should be listed at. It's an exceptional value - and I did so because it's one oil that I really feel should be in everyones collection.

This is a very unique single-tree distillation from Kepi Merauke, an area of Papua Island interior and North West of Merauke/Meroke. This is also made from a Live Tree - as opposed to the Dead/Swamp Woods of Merauke/Meroke Proper.

I'd also class this oil as a Whiskey Profile - akin to some of the wood-fired Hindi oils I've got in the shop. I'll get to that more in a minute ...


SCENT


So this is a powerhouse of a Papua, let's just say that up front. Kepi has tons of nuance - but in no way is it a delicate oil. It's potent, long lasting, and powerful. It ain't dainty.

Although this is apart of my Vacuum Distillation Series - I find some similarities to some of the traditional wood-fired Hindi oils I have in the shop in that it reminds me strongly of Scotch Whiskey. If you like darker, complex, deep and nuanced Oud oils ... you're in for a real treat.

Weaving in and out, I get a Peated Whiskey and Incense Smoke that is there one minute, but not necessarily the next. Undergirding all of this is a bitter-sweet Toffee and Cacao Note, with wafts of Lush Green Jungle and the earthy moistness of Jungle Floor. It's super complex, and dances around - not wanting to settle on any singular note or character ... partly why I class it as "Whiskey". If you drink whisky - especially Scotch - you'll know exactly what I mean.

It's an incredibly exciting oil to wear, and a rare and special treat given that it's both a Live Tree Distillation, and from a SINGLE Live Tree, at that.
