This is a single tree micro-lot from a cold, high elevation Mountain location on Mount Irau (Gunung Irau).

Mount Irau is located in Pahang, but is actually a bit closer to Perak, right on the border - so expect some crossover Pahang and Perak terroir notes.

Of all the unique flavors from Malaysia - Beccariana tends to be the most rare. And the most prized flavors in general come from colder, high elevation climates. This micro batch of Mt. Irau satiates both - it is a high elevation, cold climate, single tree batch of Beccariana. A real joy, to say the least ...

So what to expect on the scent?

SCENT

This batch is quite resinous, and the scent is spectacular.

On one of our Subitisms, I get this piercing floral note as the first vapors wisp into my nostrils. It's beautifully floral, with a sweet syrupy resinous-ness. Deeply Oudy.

I'm not sure I'd say the syrup is Cola'ish - but I have a feeling many will. Pancakes and a Soda I'm sure I'm gonna hear, with a floral fizzyness and a deep Oudy Base.

However you want to call it - this is one nice batch of goodness.

Just before I wrote this description, I was heating some of this Mt. Irau in my workshop, prepping for patients that'll start coming here in a little bit. The sheer density of Oud hanging in the air is going to be intense for the next several hours. I'm sure everyone coming in today will be asking what is punching them in the face as soon as they walk in the door. haha
